Focused Audio that Eliminates Unwanted Environmental Noise
At the heart of the GM18C is a high-sensitivity condenser capsule with a cardioid pickup pattern that focuses on the speaker while reducing off-axis ambient noise commonly found in untreated or busy rooms. The microphone’s dual gooseneck sections (upper and lower) with dual pivot points provide full 360° positioning, making it easy to place the capsule exactly where you need it for consistent, natural vocal pickup. By keeping the microphone elevated above the surface, it also helps minimize distractions like paper rustling and other tabletop noise.
Customizable Control with LED Status Indicator
Customizable control is quick and quiet via the programmable silent touch pad on the base, which can be set to 4 different operating modes—Push-to-Talk, Tap-to-Mute, On/Off, or Always On—to quickly match different workflows and environments. An LED status ring around the button provides an at-a-glance indication of talk/mute status, so there’s no guessing whether the mic is live.
Sturdy, Professional Construction for +48V Phantom Power Devices
Built with rugged ABS-PC construction on the gooseneck and all-metal construction on the base with integrated nonslip padding for stable placement, it’s made for dependable daily use. It is exclusively powered by +48V phantom power which is required. The base features a 3-pin XLR output for clean, reliable signal transmission—making it compatible with a wide range of mixers, mic preamps, PA systems, and audio interfaces. A slip-on foam windscreen is also included to reduce plosives, breath noise, and help protect the capsule over time.
