Overview
The CineBuff CB-TRRS-EX-5 is a 16.4-foot (5m) female-to-male TRRS 3.5mm audio extension cable. It adds substantial extra cable length to microphones or other audio sources and works as an extension cable for headphones. Bi-directional, it is fully compatible with TRS and TRRS sources and passes plug-in power, making it a versatile, high-quality accessory that’s useful for a variety of tasks out in the field or in your studio.
Extend your Microphone Reach and Expand Positioning Options
Designed to be an extension cable for microphones, the CB-TRRS-EX-5 works well with 3.5mm shotgun microphones, lavaliers, and even wireless mic receivers. Providing 16.4’ (5m) of length for numerous applications, such using a mini shotgun mic on a boom pole or stand, positioning a subject in front of the camera with a 3.5mm lavalier, or getting your wireless mic receiver closer to transmitters to guard against dropouts. And because it passes plug-in power, it will work to extend any 3.5mm microphone: battery-powered condenser, dynamic, or plug-in powered condenser.
Extend your Headphones’ Cable Length
In addition to use with microphones, you can use the CB-TRRS-EX-5 as a headphone extension cable, ideal for getting the extra length you need when your source is out of reach, or on the other side of the room. And because it is a TRRS extension cable, it can be used with standard stereo headphones with a TRS connector, headphones that have an integrated microphone with a TRRS connector, and even mono headphones with a TS connector. Perfect for connecting to computers, headphone amps, audio interfaces, mobile devices, and much more.
Extend any 3.5mm Cable
It does not stop with microphones and headphones. CB-TRRS-EX-5 will extend literally any 3.5mm audio signal or electronic signal: Line-Level or Mic-Level, TRS, TRRS or TS. It is a versatile problem-solving tool that should be in every audio kit.
